Many travellers do their holiday research on the Net. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has launched TRUST as a resource-rich website for information on holidaying in Singapore. TRUST is the acronym for Travel Related Users' System (TRUST).

In addition to travellers, Singapore travel agents operating either inbound or outbound tours are frequent users of TRUST too. Through TRUST, they can handle all their licensing, administration, and information retrieval concerns with ease and convenience.

TRUST for the public
TRUST gives the public up-to-date information on all licensed travel agents in Singapore, including information on upcoming overseas or local trade or consumer events, as well as festivals in Singapore. Notices, circulars and press releases by the STB are also available. The website contains the following information and services related to the travel industry.

• Travel Services Directory
This directory provides users with easy access to contact details like office addresses, office telephone numbers and fax numbers of all existing licensed travel agents in Singapore.

• Travel Agent Handbook
This handbook highlights the licensing requirements and duties of a travel agent, thus educating the public on their rights.

• Travel Agents Act and Regulations
This section provides details of the Travel Agent Act and Regulations that travel agents would have to abide by. Both the public and the travel agents can acquaint themselves with the regulations, thus ensuring that the whole travel experience will be a good one.

• Listing of Active Travel Agents & Ceased/Suspended/Revoked Travel Agents
This lists the travel agencies in operation and those that are no longer active.

TRUST also lets travel agents do much of their paperwork online, thus saving time and money.
